Tramadol tablets are used primarily to treat mild to severe pain, both acute and chronic. This opioid painkiller on a dose-by-dose basis, has about one-tenth the potency of morphine (thus 100 mg is commensurate with 10 mg morphine but may vary).
Tramadol, brand names Ultram and Tramal among others, is an opioid pain medication and a serotonin–norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) Analgesia occurs within 1 hour minutes of oral administration, and lasts for 5–8 hours.
